The magazine-section of the WAZ Media Group, another important main pillar in addition to its core business of publishing daily newspapers, is mainly edited in Germany by the publishing houses Gong and the WAZ-Women Group, which developed from the Westdeutscher Zeitschriftenverlag and its puplishing company Welt am Sonnabend in 2010.

 

At an early stage the WAZ Media Group has established itself in the magazine market by taking a share in the publishing company Welt am Sonnabend.

 

With approximately 5.74 million sold copies every week the company today belongs to one of the big players in this sector.

 

The miscellaneous portfolio ranging from the actual television magazine to glamorous stories about notables and beside of that to tricky brain-teaser magazines leaves nothing to be desired.

 

Concerning the market of animal magazines the WAZ Media Group is heading the market by the prominent titles of its joint venture „Ein Herz für Tiere Media GmbH“.
