Neue Ruhr Zeitung / Neue Rhein Zeitung (NRZ)

The major daily newspaper of the Rhine and Ruhr region

The Neue Ruhr Zeitung / Neue Rhein Zeitung has written and made history. NRZ first appeared three years before the formation of the Federal Republic of Germany, on 13 July 1946. As a critical, helpful and controversial accompanist to the day, it has always remained true to its self-image: open to the concerns of citizens, grateful for discussion, tolerant, bold, perseverant, and unfaltering.

The NRZ counts among the biggest regional newspapers in Germany. Its area of circulation is as complex and "multi-sided" as NRZ itself: on the one hand a big city medium for the Rhine Ruhr region and the state capital Düsseldorf, on the other hand a homeland newspaper for the Lower Rhine between Kleve and Moers.

Enriched with reports from NRZ correspondents across Germany, Europe and the world, the major newspaper of the Rhine and Ruhr region offers an exciting, varied mixture of news, reports with background and entertainment: refreshingly up to date, refreshingly entertaining, refreshingly different!
