Druck- und Verlagszentrum GmbH & Co. KG

The Druck- und Verlagszentrum Hagen-Bathey, founded in 1976, is one of the largest and most modern printing-works in Europe. The editions of Westfälische Rundschau (WR), the Westfalenpost (WP) and a part of the local editions of the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung (WAZ) for the publication days from Monday to Saturday are printed at this centre – in total about 600.000 copies and 97 local editions.

4.5 million copies per week and the printing of the Financial Times Deutschland and the Iserlohner Kreisanzeiger, each with about 30.000 copies per publication day.

Newspaper offset printing is becoming increasingly important. Efficient rotary presses offer, with full 4-colour printing, a cheap alternative for advertising sheets, supplements and brochures. The re-equipping and modernisation of the printing-works was completed mid-2005. Each of the WIFAG rotary press is able to print 42.500 newspapers per hour.

Additional cutting, stapling and the use of different  paper qualities offer a range of possibilities for adapting the design of the print objects to the specific requirements.

The insertion of supplementary products of the "Spezial" Editorial Dept. and of advertising brochures is also done in-house at the upgraded despatch line, six or more inserted supplements are normal.

The Hagen-Bathey printing-works has capacity to also take on short-term, high-volume orders: quickly, reliably and at competitive prices.
